There were actually few things about the day Loki needed to feel regret over, as most of what had happened were things he had hoped to accomplish anyway. He was extremely agitated over the fact that Sigyn had been harmed. It was his fault; he had underestimated both the mortal and the creature. Everything else, though, had been to his gain.
He smiled slightly as Sigyn complimented his skill in trapping the creature. Was he teasing her? Not exactly; this was just the way his plans had been designed. He knew she liked Midgard, and her appreciation for the dull place was almost enough to make him leave it alone. Almost, but not quite. But he would show a little remorse if he ended up destroying it.
"I know exactly where he is, and I will keep an eye on him. I expect he will prove useful." Loki knew now that attempting to control him would be ill advised, but there were other ways of making a creature do as one wished. He had no solid plans as yet, though. He simply liked having pieces in place.
Of course, she saw right through him. He chuckled as she said he would do it again. She was absolutely right. How did she know him so well? "I am sorry that you were hurt." He touched her cheek. Sometimes he felt she deserved a better man than the one she had. One that would not put her in danger, one that would never ask her to help him do evil. One who could give her children.
He leaned back, his head propped up in his palm, and took her hand as she patted his leg. He could think of some indecent ways to make this up to her, but he said nothing of it, just gave her a smile. "I'm sure I could think of something. Perhaps a private dinner… with candles and wine." And he who had just expelled a dark power from its own realm, releasing that power onto unsuspecting innocents for his own nefarious purposes, kissed her cheek and wrapped his arms around his wife.
