Sigyn's magic had been nothing when they had met. He had encouraged her, supported her, taught her and had her back always. Sigyn felt like being the person she was these days was Loki's fault in the best possible way. She had come to appreciate magic more, because she was sharing life with someone who did, in contrast to her mother. She'd never use it against him in a sincere situation. This however, was nothing but fun. "You indeed are," she said. Sigyn was aware of his fondness when it came to illusions, but the wind he was blowing was just irresistible. And so, she found herself right in front of him, releasing a breath she had been holding.
And then, the image in front of her disappeared. Instead, the real Loki was behind her, holding her. Sigyn gasped again, but did not shriek. How often had he pulled that trick on her? Most of the times, she fell for it. It vexed her. So when he rested his chin on her neck, Sigyn was about to pout. But those words he whispered pulled at a different string entirely. Sigyn held her breath, her eyes widened on her face, still hidden in her hood. A rush of adrenaline and heat made her body tingle. Loki taking what he wanted, Loki being dominant was the most enticing, alluring thing ever. Loki confident. It got her going. She had fallen for a bad boy, Sigyn knew that. While she tried to maintain a certain level of morals, Loki managed to destroy that over and over again and she could not help but fall for his bad boy side on occasion. Loki did not even have to be loud, vulgar or straight forward to be threatening. He had that calm menace surrounding him. She had rarely heard him raise his voice. It seemed like the lower it was, the more dangerous it sounded. She knew he was not trying to threaten her. It was still quite hot. So she turned around, faced him and leaned in, hands on his pectorals. "If you continue to talk to me like this, I might get rid of this robe and dress walk into the middle of the clearing and have you claim me in every way you wish, my lord. Under the moon, out in the open. I will moan and wince and beg you to release me," she whispered, pausing. Sigyn licked her lower lip, bit it and searched his gaze. "However," she continued, talking in a louder voice now, "We are not alone." With that said, Sigyn nodded towards the dark forest. Rustling sounds and something hitting the ground announced their guest. A moment later, Sleipnir had entered the clearing, the pale moonlight making his raven color look almost blue. He closed the distance and met them, nudged Sigyn's head, who put her hand on his long neck. However, the horse seemed to be hestitant about nudging Loki.
Sigyn had not known Loki had visited his son today. She had thought it'd be a nice idea after last night. So she had freed the horse from the stables for now and brought him along.
Too bad, somehow. She couldn't have known Loki would make her crave for his touch like this in this very moment.

The plan Sigyn presented was most enticing. He wanted her, here and now, no matter who might hear, no matter who might wonder. He did not care, as long as they were not being actively watched. Loki could be immensely jealous; the view of his wife's naked body was for him and him alone. The time they spent together was private, the ways they made love were secrets known only between them. That was how he preferred it.
She turned to face him, touching him, and it was all he could do not to take her down to the floor of the forest and have his way with her. He would have, had he not recognized the "but" in that pause. There was something else going on he was as yet unaware of. And while his ability to care was slipping farther with each passing moment, he had a feeling this would turn out to be important.
When his son trotted out of the forest, Loki felt a mix of feelings. One was appreciation, for Sigyn being so considerate. Another was disappointment over the lost opportunity. Another was insecurity, an odd feeling after having just been so confident. His children always brought up that feeling in him, that he had not been a good father to them. He knew he had not. But he had only recently come to regret it, and that made him feel worse.
"Sleipnir," he said gently, reaching out to touch the stallion's mane. The horse was more excited to see Sigyn than him, he noted with a bit of shame. He had tried to be a better father than his own by giving his children space, but, in fact, he had been a bigger failure than Odin himself.
Loki opened his hands, and a carrot appeared in them. This he offered to Sleipnir, giving the horse a cautious smile. Could he be as caring with Sleipnir and the others as he had been with Narvi and Vali? Perhaps, but it would take time, time he had already lost with the eons that had passed.
Patting Sleipnir's head, he glanced at Sigyn and gave her a small smile as well. He did not like having her witness what he perceived as his bad parenting, but this was how things had turned out, this had been her plan. He could only try his best and take the rest as well as he could.

It was indeed a wicked situation. Even after the millenia they had spent together, Sigyn had never stopped wanting him sexually. Loki was an exquisite lover. He knew her body well, knew which buttons to push and how to make her lose her mind. She had never understood how someone would prefer bedding several people randomly over time to this kind of intimacy. She certainly didn't. But then again, Loki had been her first. Sigyn had never felt the need or even curiosity about sleeping with anyone else, though.
Inwardly, she sighed. No harm was done, sooner or later, they'd be alone in their chambers and could catch up on where they had left off. Now, other things were important.
When Sleipnir appeared, Loki looked positively surprised. Sigyn was not so sure Loki would like her little surprise, but he was not yelling at her yet. That was a good sign, wasn't it? Given Loki's way of parenting his other children, Sigyn was not too surprised Sleipnir was not exactly straight forward with Loki just yet. They were almost eternal, though. They'd have time to catch up. When Loki finally produced the carrot, the horse took it. It looked like both, instinct to get food and a step towards Loki. Sigyn's hand came to rest on Sleipnir's fur at his neck. "Would you like me to give you some privacy?", she asked tranquilly. If Loki didn't feel comfortable or wanted to be alone with his son, she'd be more than happy to provide the privacy he wanted.

In the time he had spent as a single male, Loki had never fully considered that he might one day lose the need to have more than one woman. He had always figured that even after being married, he would continue to see others as he pleased. Sigyn had changed that. He had been entirely faithful to her since their betrothal, for many reasons. He did not feel he needed any other woman; she met all his needs, still, even after all this time. In fact, they seemed to get only better for each other as their understanding of each other - and themselves - continued to grow.
There was Loki's past, of course, which included a number of strange occurrences, the birth of Sleipnir being one of those. It was a long story, one he did not particularly enjoy retelling. At the heart of it was him getting screwed over by the Aesir once again, when for once he had tried to do something "good" for the community. From that had come Sleipnir, who he had given to Odin once the horse was old enough.
How exactly did one care for a horse as a son? That was something Loki had never learned. He had mostly treated Sleipnir as he would someone else's horse. It seemed that had created a divide between them, one that Loki had not noticed at first, but that had grown over time and now seemed unconquerable. Perhaps a carrot would help bridge the gap. Sleipnir munched the carrot, a little cautiously.
Sigyn offered to give them privacy. "No," Loki said quietly, in a tone that also said I need you here. He still felt shy about letting Sigyn see him fail at parenting. But he also needed her strength and wisdom. She had been a wonderful mother, and perhaps he would learn from that.
He patted Sleipnir as the horse ate, unsure what to say or do next. He knew Sleipnir recognized both of them, but he was not sure how much Sleipnir understood. So he did the best he could and spoke as though his son was listening.
"You've made me proud, Sleipnir," he said, "though I know I do not tell you so often enough." Smiling somewhat, he let his hand rest on Sleipnir's neck. Glancing at Sigyn, he hoped she'd approve.

Loki could have slept with the whole of Asgard, Sigyn would have stayed with him. That was a curse and a blessing at the same time. She was so bound to him, he was entirely at his mercy. If he chose to have an orgy with a dozen of women in their quarters, she'd have to take it. Yet, her trust was too big by now. He knew, in contrast to many other wives of Asgardian men, she would not like it. She'd be hurt. She'd blame it on herself partially, and on him. Loki would not intentionally hurt her, that she knew. Back then, she had not know it. She had not even known it when she had sworn the oath to be his wife. Things had changed.
Sigyn had no idea how different you'd have to behave if your son happened to be a horse. Love would overcome everything, she believed. Loki wanted to overcome his past mistakes, she thought. Otherwise, he would not be here. He would have left.
She understood what he was trying to say. So she put her arms around his middle and cuddled against him, watching Loki interact with his son finally. "We are speaking the Alltongue. That is a start, isn't it?", she whispered, smiling at Sleipnir, who was indeed warming up with his father, munching on the carrot, nudging Loki's hand. Maybe, there'd be another carrot! The horse neighed upon hearing Loki's words. Whether he truly understood, no one would know. But he was inclining his head and rasping his hooves over the ground. Sigyn glanced up at Loki, a huge, moved smile on her face. "You should ride him. It is your privilege by nature," she calmly whispered. As much as she'd be there for Loki every step of the way, he'd have to do this alone. There was use in this. Spending quality time. As much as she adored the horse - it derived from Loki, after all, - she was not his mother.
Sleipnier neighed again, Sigyn put her hand on the horse's long face. "I'll be home. You can take your time. I will take your horse with me," she whispered, tilting her head back to look at Loki. She'd be waiting for him. She'd always be. For now, he'd have to make this step by himself.

Perhaps it was a start, Loki thought as Sleipnir munched. It had been so long since his children's births that he had been sure they hated him. Hela, he knew, did; the woman mostly tolerated him because she found his plans amusing. The others he was not as certain about. Especially Sleipnir, who was always so nearby yet almost never saw Loki.
Sleipnir nudged his hand, which he found oddly comforting. Encouraged, he patted the horse and smiled. This was not so bad. It seemed all he had to do was what came naturally. Aside from lies and trickery, which were also very natural impulses for him. But he had learned to separate those tendencies from certain parts of his life, namely those that involved Sigyn.
Riding him, though, was something else entirely. It felt odd to Loki, partly because this was Odin's horse, and partly because this was his son. Shouldn't he be the one giving piggyback rides? But aside from shapeshifting into some huge creature, there was nothing he could do about that. They needed to spend some time together, no matter what that meant.
He was a little startled by Sigyn starting to leave, but said nothing. If she felt it would be better for her to leave, then perhaps it would be. Besides, she seemed determined. She was even taking his horse with her, leaving him to ride Sleipnir home. Or walk, or teleport. But the one would be inconvenient, and the other would be defeating her purpose.
"I'll meet you there," he said softly, leaning in to give her a quick kiss before she left. He watched her retreat with their two horses, then turned back to Sleipnir, who was studying him expectantly.
"One more," he said, moving his hands slightly to call forth another carrot. It gave him an odd sense of satisfaction to watch the horse enjoy the carrot. That would be it for the night, though. Loki did not want him staying up all night or somesuch.
Petting the horse, Loki began to talk, mostly about nothing, about random things or about Sigyn. Nothing of terrible importance, just things he thought might be interesting, or at least things he felt like he wanted to say. And after that, with Loki's nerves down to a minimum, they went for a brief ride, just for the sake of spending time together. Loki brought the horse back to the stables and saw that he was taken care of.
Returning to their chambers, he obtained a bottle of wine, which he set aside as he entered. She was here, he could feel it, but she was not yet in his sight. Now the games would begin again.

Sigyn had taken the horses home, left them at the stables and had returned to their quarters. She was having terrible nightmares lately, which woke her up at night. Yet she could never exactly say what happened in her dreams. She just woke up in sweat, with her heart beating too fast for someone that had just been sleeping. So with a little time on her hands, she sat down in the little room they shared, that held all the different ingredients and books for various spells, and composed herself a herbal potion, that was supposed to keep bad dreams way from you. She heard the door as she was stirring the green mass in the pot. Loki was back.
She smiled to herself, hoping he had a good time. Well, hoping he had used the time. "I am in here," she said out loudly, so he would not have to search for her. She knew he was worried about her dreams, but so far, Sigyn believed it was nothing a well composed potion or spell could not fix. After all, she was keeping herself from getting pregnant by using a thorugh spell. It was working for centuries already.
"I'll be finished in a few minutes, I just need to get this done," she continued to explain, figuring he'd hear her, wherever he was. She had no idea about the wine or what had happened with Sleipnir or that Loki was planning to continue the game they had started. She'd soon find out.

Walking toward the sound of her voice, Loki found Sigyn in their side room devoted to magic. As both of them were sorcerers, it had been a necessity, and served them well, especially recently. He knew of the nightmares Sigyn had been having, and had been trying to help as much as he could.
She would be done in a few minutes. That gave Loki more than enough time to set up his plan. Without replying or letting her know it was indeed he who had entered, he slipped around their chambers quietly, arranging everything just so. A little magic here and there added to the effect.
Once Sigyn was finished, she would detect the soft scent of real roses gently leading her into their bedroom. Within, moonlight streamed into the darkened room, the only light in the room until a couple of candles, one in each far corner of the room, spontaneously lit up. He seemed to step out of the shadows they cast. Two glasses of wine were in his hands, one of which he offered to her; if she did not take it, he would set it aside. He wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her neck gently. Behind him, between the candles, their bed had a sprinkling of rose petals.
"We talked," he said softly, still holding her. "Or, rather, I talked. But he listened." He had not known Sleipnir could be so attentive, that the horse could show so much understanding. Did it have something to do with a new bond they now shared?
"Then we went for a ride together. It was…. a wonderful experience." He moved his free hand up to draw it along her face and through her hair. "And it was because of you, my incredible wife."
Opening his free hand, he revealed a beautiful rose. "And I intend to continue what we started this evening. I believe you were telling me how you would writhe and moan and beg me for release?" He gave her a devilish grin. "Choose your words carefully, for you are in my territory now, my lady of the forest."

The scent of the potion was so heavily lingering in the air, that she did not realize what was going on in the other room. But soon, as the potion cooled down, the scent decreased. Instead, it smelled like roses so tremendously, that there had to be lots of them. Sigyn cleaned her hands on a piece of cloth and got up. a frown on her face. When she entered their sleeping chamber, she saw the mischief that had created this scent.
The whole room was lit into beautiful candlelight, roses and petals seemed to be everywhere. And there was her husband, stepping out of the shadows with two glasses of wine, so much finer than the bold mead Thor preferred. Sigyn's frown turned into a smile as she took the glass of wine and was pulled against him. Yet she was not recting instantly. Loki never ceased to amaze her, just like now.
Sigyn held his gaze, had her wine. The way she looked at him almost suggested that she considered herself above him, was ridiculing him. Her arrogance was entirely mocked, of course. "Oh, my dear lord Loki. How foolish of you to think luring me into your chambers would make me succumb or even fall for you. I have a fine husband myself and the picture of me crying out in pleasure is for his eyes only. Moreover, only he is capable of putting me in that state. Do not be as bold to assume you could achieve that." Her brow raised as her glass left her lip. If he wanted to play, well, he could have that. So Sigyn ignored the rose, of course.

The way she spoke to him, so haughty and self-assured, only made Loki want to bring her to her knees, to make her long for him and the completeness he could provide. But they were playing a game, so he must be careful how he moved. She was excellent at this, but he would win. He would have what he wanted, and that was her, tonight, right now.
He took a sip of wine as she told him about her husband. He had a response for that, of course. The mention of her crying out almost made him lose his cool for a moment as that scene played out in his mind. He would get there, eventually. Sooner rather than later. He moved in closer, his dark eyes lit by the glow of the candles.
"Your husband is the luckiest man in the realm. Or, perhaps, the second-luckiest man, for it is I who will have you tonight." His lips hovered above hers. "And after I have had you, you will find satisfaction with no one else. You will long for me, your hunger growing and growing until you beg me to take you again, and again. That exquisite body of yours will know no peace but that I give to it. You will belong to me, fully and wholly. And…" His lips curled into a dark smile. "You will want nothing more than to belong to me."
The rose in his hands had been changing as he spoke, slowly and barely noticeably. Now it seemed to give off its own light, bathed in a glow that resembled flames. Yet the rose itself did not burn, but shone radiantly, its colors growing more bold and vibrant. It bathed his face in its glow, accenting his features, giving him a very godlike appearance.
Without breaking his gaze from hers, he set his glass aside and ran his fingers up her spine, without actually touching her. With no help from magic at all, there was an almost magnetic effect, as if he was touching her much more intimately than he was. "It may be that my words are bold," he said, his voice a low, deep whisper, "but if you think them lies, then test them in my bed. If you dare." Eyes sparking with mischief, he raised an eyebrow at her, with all the confidence of a man who has already won.

Loki had already won. Or neither of them had? There was no doubt, not for one second, that they would end up together sooner or later, in their bed or wherever they pleased. Everything Loki said was or would be true, except for the husband-part, naturally. She'd beg him to take her over and over again. She'd be his. She was already. But sometimes, it was great fun and quite enticing to prolong the excitement like this.
Sigyn kept her chin up high as he talked and touched her, without even touching her. His words, spoken in that low, dominant and menacing timbre made her blush with anticipation and excitement. She could feel how much Loki's portrayal of the cruel prince was arousing her and if he pleased, he could feel it as well. Sigyn was beyond ready for him, yet she would not give in that easily. Somehow, she did turn quite stubborn.
Her voice was a mere whisper, still determined and strong, but trembling, as fiery eyes looked at him, "The arrogance to do as you please is such a trademark of a prince, is it not? Failing at making someone want to be at your mercy resulting in forcing them to? Oh, how very conceited of you. How am I to believe a word you are saying, prince of lies?" Sigyn bent back in order to put some distance between her and the bold prince. At the same time however, her hand started to wander towards a quite delicate destination.

This would, of course, end just as they both really wanted. The only matter was getting there, and deciding how it should be done. The game they were playing would help with that. It was a nice change, this approach they were taking. It added excitement to something that had become rather regular for them. Not that he didn't always enjoy her - he did - but a challenge made it somewhat interesting. These roles they were playing added a new twist.
He closed his eyes for a moment as she touched him. She would be able to tell how much he wanted her. But then again, he had never said he didn't. He noted a slight tremble in her tone as she spoke. A good sign. But there still remained some determination in her eyes, telling him she would not give in to him yet. Excellent.
"You mistake me, my lady," he said, a hint of amusement in his tone. "I will not have to force you to. You will come willingly, such will be your desire. And - as you well know - I am not failing." He could feel the need radiating off her, in her voice and her touch. It made him proud, that he could make this woman, the one he loved, long for him so.
The rose in his hands disappeared, throwing his face into relative darkness again. "You need not believe me at all. I am going to show you." He placed his hand on hers and ran one long finger along its length, "Does it please you?" he asked, referring to whatever her hand had discovered in its wanderings.

There was no way Sigyn would be able to hide entirely how she was feeling. Loki simply knew her too well. This was a game anyway and both of them played along willingly. Sometimes, the lines blurred. They were not really competing in daily life, but in a lot of regards, they were the same. If the opportunity for a harmless competition presented itself, she'd take it. This had nothing to do with loyalty. Actually, it was trust. For if she did not trust him, she would not play this game. "Your arrogance knows no bounds," she fought back, increasing the pressure of her hand as she felt his touching it. Sigyn's lids fluttered. She inhaled sharply. No, she would not give in just yet. He'd have to work a little harder, conquering her all over again. "All you do is talk about my alleged desire for you, yet you do nothing to ignite this fire. It is not going to exist because you want it to. Your big mouth does nothing to me." Sigyn's voice actually sounded angry, insulted. Yet, it was all fake, serving a purpose. She closed her hand slightly, not harsh, but not too gentle, either, holding him in place delicately. "It seems like you are the one at my mercy, much in contradiciton to the claims you have made.", she teased, this time snickering quite arrogantly. "Nothing pleases me more than a man being proven wrong by his own actions."

Had Loki not seen Sigyn's eyelids flutter briefly - the smallest of movements - he might have felt a little discouraged. But her body gave her away. She would make him work for this, would she? Well, then, he would have to make her work equally hard later.
It was difficult to ignore the sensation of her hand closing around him. His eyes narrowed, accompanied by a sharp intake of breath. He gritted his teeth, fighting back the impulse to simply throw her on the bed among the rose petals. That was not how the game would be won. He knew he was about one squeeze away from giving in. If he could pull this off before Sigyn realized that, he would count this night among his greatest successes.
"On the contrary," he said easily, almost pleasantly, "I think I have made my desire for you abundantly clear. Your surprise is wasted. I believe you are stalling me, my dear. And the longer you make me wait-" He wrapped an arm around the small of her back and tugged her closer- "the longer I will draw out the moment of your need." His lips curled into a confident smirk.
"How would you like me to have you, my lady? On my bed, among the sweetly scented petals? In the calming waters of a bath? I personally am inclined to simply press you against the wall, and do away with all the formalities." Without warning, without waiting for permission, he kissed her, his mouth falling on hers like an ambush. When finally he ripped his lips away, he looked at her for a moment, his dark eyes flashing in the dim light.
"Or would you rather I save us both time and effort and pull you down to the floor, strip you to nothing but the essence of your being, and end this battle of wills right where we stand?" His tone had taken on a harsh, urgent edge, and his hands were pressing against her body now, making their way along her torso. "Would you like to learn how else I can use this 'big mouth' of mine to ignite your fire? Or why else they call me the silver tongue? Have you had enough of my talking now? Of this game? Give in to me, and I will give you pleasures beyond your wildest fantasies."
This was the last hand he would play. If this last move did not work, he knew he would find himself making good on his words, whether she was ready or not. It was becoming more and more difficult to hide just how much he needed her. He was hanging on by a thin thread now, and if she spoke one more word to him in that husky voice of hers, he was sure it would break.

She was indeed stalling him, for his and her own benefit. However, the longer they were drawing this out, the more Sigyn imagined how this would end. And that image - or the various images - were close to torture. She almost regretted having started this game, instead of just going for it. Well, she knew sometimes variations like these were necessary to maintain their curiosity, their desire. Just like him, she was about to give in. She knew her husband, though. He would not budge unless he could not hold back anymore. Whether he was exactly at this point, she didn't know. Sigyn knew he wanted her, she felt it in her hand, she just did not know how much his self-control was keeping him from turning her over and having his way with her.
Sigyn inhaled sharply as he pulled her closer yet again, her body crashing into his. She barely managed to keep the last bit of distance by putting her hands on his chest. That delicate chest. She was able to draw its lines by heart, if she had to. "Are you trying to convince me that you'd pay attention to my desires, instead of your own, pr-,", Sigyn put up a fight, but was shut up by a feverish kiss, that made her body shiver so badly that she barely managed to remain standing on her own two feet. Just when she was going to just call it quits and give in to that passionate kiss, Loki took his lips from hers again, leaving her panting, with glossy eyes and flushed cheeks.
As his hands started to wander, touch her, Sigyn put her hand on his as he was reaching her chest, squeezing hard so he'd feel her underneath his palm. Her eyes, still fiery, yet full of desire and almost a silent plead to end this, she started to hiss, because she could not do anything else, "How would you know about my wildest fantasies?" He did. He knew it all. Sharing a bed for this long, Loki had learned a lot about Sigyn's desires and her body. Moreover, Sigyn knew how he could put that big mouth to different use. She had experienced how that silver tongue could work on her. This knowledge made it harder to resist, yet she was still determined to keep a straight face, even though she failed miserably by now. Sigyn was leaning more and more against the drawer behind them, almost sitting down on it with Loki right in front of her. She continued guiding his hand from her chest further down. He'd take the hint, would he not? It seemed like neither of them was willing to give in just like that.
